Attachment File System Directory on a network share

Can i change the Attachment File System Directory to a share on the network? I have tried and it keeps telling me that the permissions are not set correctly. I have change the directory to everything / everything permissions and it still does not work. Is this even possible?

I think that it all has to do with the proper authentication to the server we are connecting to. Is there a way to add an authentication string to the Attachment File System Directory setting in helpspot?

If the disk is mounted on the HS server you should be able to do it, but it sounds like you might have an additional authentication layer there. I don’t think HelpSpot will like an additional string there as it checks to see if the path is valid when you save the settings page and I’m guessing adding that will make it invalid to the PHP functions, but you can try.

Perhaps you can mount it in another manner?
