Black Box authentication isn’t working, and I’m wondering if it’s because the other database table I’m hitting has passwords encrypted via SHA1? Any suggestions on how to get this to work?
It’s probably that. It sounds like you’ll need to encrypt the password they enter before you do your database query to check it. In PHP the function you need is sha1().
So you’ll need to do something like this before the query:
$password = sha1($password);
Yeah, I knew it was something like that … thanks, got it working, that’s a great little feature. Got a couple more days left on my trial, then it looks like we’ll be ringin’ the register.
I think, that is interesting for all.
