Can we turn browser autocomplete back on?


We’ve noticed that the customer ID, email, and name no longer autocomplete in our browsers. We viewed source and saw that these fields are set to autocomplete=“off”

It saves us a lot of time (and prevents errors) to let our browsers fill in customer names we’ve typed before. I hunted through the settings in the admin, but couldn’t find a way to allow autocomplete again. I’d appreciate any assistance!

There’s no setting for that currently. The main reason is that this can cause the reverse sorts of issue. A better way to set those fields is via Live Lookup. If you haven’t checked that out you can find information here:

You could likely change this with a custom admin them that uses javascript to remove that option. Not sure if you want to get into that level of modification though:
