Closing tickets on Certain Statuses


Didn’t want to add this to feature requests as it may already exist, and I haven’t found it yet!

Essentially, is it possible to make it so any ticket cannot be closed unless it is in a certain status?

We have various statuses such as; “In Progress”, “On Hold”, and “Waiting on Customer”. These categories are supposed be used when the ticket is open, so it it possible to make it so the ticket cannot be closed, unless it is set to one of the closure statuses, such as “Problem Solved”, “Customer Unreachable” or “Passed to 3rd Party”



You can create a trigger that will disallow the closing of requests in other statuses. Here is an example trigger
