I think there is a bug with the custom date field. I configured the date field to show up with a particular category, but it shows up for all the categories.
Are you seeing this in the portal? If so you can fix this by editing the request.tpl.php file, follow the directions here for how to edit: http://www.userscape.com/helpdesk/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=9
On line 128 change the <P tag to a <div tag
On line 157 change thetag to a tag
