Custom Field Storage


We’re contemplating switching our customer support department to HelpSpot, but our decision depends heavily on HelpSpot’s ability to store custom fields in the DB in a way that our other systems can query and extract.

Where are custom fields stored? Have you reserved n fields in the main table for custom fields, which you then populate as users build them through the admin panel?

Custom fields are added to the HS_Request table as new columns. It’s very easy to wire this up with other systems and is commonly done.
