Custom fields not showing on ticket


We’ve set up custom fields however once entered by the user, when a help desk staffer views the ticket, the information isn’t showing up anywhere.

How do we get data from a custom field to show up within the ticket for the help desk staff?



Something doesn’t sound right. Custom fields are always displayed in the full ticket view. Custom field values aren’t available to the customer once they submit, but they are shown to the staff in the full ticket view.


Thanks. turns out that because we wanted to have tickets un-catagorized when they came in the additonal fields didn’t show up. Once we forced a default category, the extra data showed up on the right side of the ticket view. We then have the staff change the category to the correct one.
