Customer closing requests through portal

#1

Hi,

Is it possible to add a button onto the view of an individual request, so that the customer can close a request through the portal?

Also, is there any way to add a filter to the request history view, so the customer can only view open requests?

I can’t see easily how to do either in the templates.

Hi Miles,

It’s not possible for a customer to mark a request as closed. You might be able to create your own solution for this by creating a button which goes to a script that calls the web service api (private.request.update) to close it.

You could have the filter view only show open requests by adding an IF statement to check for fOpen == 1 you could build more advanced filtering from there, but you’d need to add the UI for that it’s not built in.
