Error 324 tiny_mce web page not available

#1

When I try to insert a picture, insert media or paste word etc I get a message popping up telling me the relevant tiny_mce file is missing e.g.

The web page at http://www..com/helpspot/js/tiny_mce_338/themes/advanced/image.htm might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

More information on this error
Below is the original error message

Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): Unknown error.

Yet I can clearly see on the server that the file does exist (and the rest of Helpspot works fine)

Helpspot v2.7.2 installed as fresh installation, via extracting zip to local drive, FTPing to server using binary upload and then running Installer.php

Note the issue also existed with v2.6.3

Any ideas?

#2

FYI I am experiencing this issue exists on IE8, Chrome and Mozilla.

I believe Rebecca is emailing you back on your support request for this. We haven’t seen this error before so it’s a bit odd. Check your permissions on the file are they the same as the other files in tinymce? Maybe they got whacked out somehow.

#4

With Rebecca’s help we found out the issue was caused by a RewriteRule in our site wide .htaccess file which converted all htm requests to html requests

Sorted now

Many thanks
