Error: Can not authenticate to POP3 server

Hi, we are using HelpSpot 3.2.12. Since yesterday HelpSpot won’t download emails from the Gmail POP3 server. The ‘Test Mailbox Setting’ button returns:
Error is: Error: Can not authenticate to POP3 server: POP3 connection broken in response.
The Error Log says: Cannot connect to info@suntransfers.com@pop.gmail.com #IMAP Errors->

We have tried resetting the password on the Gmail account but hasn’t fixed the issue. What else could it be? We haven’t changed any other settings.

Maybe a setting on Google has changed, interesting that you are getting IMAP errors for a POP3 Account. Did you make sure POP3 hasn’t been disabled. Check what port you are using for POP3

Also you may need to setup an allowance for Less secure Apps in google.
