Filter not working on custom request field


Have set up a custom request field which is a checkbox. Have then tried to set up a filter to show all those cases where the checkbox is NOT checked. When the filter is run the workspace shows all requests whether the checkbox is checked or not (i.e. it ignores the filter condition).

Am I doing something wrong?

Currently it’s not possible to filter for a checkbox which is not checked. This is a feature we’ve had requested though and it is scheduled for a future release.

However, it is possible to achieve this by using the custom “where” condition of the filters. To do so you need to specify the actual SQL to compare the checkbox column to empty. This SQL below should do it:

(Custom# = 0)

Just replace the # with the ID of your checkbox custom field which you can find in Admin->Tools->Custom Request Fields.

Thanks, Ian. The insertion of the above SQL statement did the trick. I didn’t realise you could do this (missed the “customer Where clause” at the bottom of the drop-down list for filter conditions).
