We are experiencing slowness in Helpspot closing tickets? Is there a way to check why this is happening?
Slowness when closing tickets is usually the result of HelpSpot sending an email using a slow email provider, or when sending multiple emails. Multiple emails may be the result of adding staff to a request’s response, or also emailing a subscribed staffer. Triggers may also be setup to send additional emails when closing a request.
The email provider is based on the outgoing email settings found at Admin > Settings > Email Integration (or as a custom setting that may or may not be configured within each Admin > Email Mailboxes).
Exchange in particular may have a “tarpit” option enabled that causes an intentional delay between email sends that is only noticeable when sending multiple emails out in a row.
