Installer.php returns No input file specified

#1

I believe I’ve gotten thru the installation correctly; however, when I run installer.php I get a page saying:

No input file specified

Installing on WinXP SP2, IIS, PHP 525, Zend is installed.
I’ve checked and allowed Everyone Full Control to the helpspot folder.

I installed on a Win2K3 server before I tried the XP box and got the exact same result.

I’m sure it’s something goofy I’ve done, but I have no clue where to look.

Thanks for your help.

Well, I know a lot of folks have a problem getting it to work on XP (we don’t test on xp) and the Windows installer definitely won’t work on XP.

You could check file permissions to make sure the files are executable by the web server. You may also have something wrong in your IIS setup as that error is when PHP tries to execute a file that’s not in the place it expects it (http://jenseng.com/archives/000035.html).

Ian,

I am so sorry. This was such a rookie mistake. I was going to the wrong URL.

Test.php was in the root C:\inetpub\wwwroot

and installer.php was in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\helpspot

Given that, the URL to installer.php is NOT http://localhost/installer.php now is it?

Sheesh. Sorry again. Thank you for the speedy reply.

Jeff
