Non-required Custom Fields yet getting "Required parameter CustomN not supplied"

I’m sending a request.create call via the Web Service API.

I have about 10 custom fields and all are marked not required. However, the API insists that they are.

Any advice? Is this a bug or maybe I’m doing something wrong? Seems like a bug that wouldn’t go un-noticed.

Hi Lee,

I believe we’ve already answered this via email, but just wanted to update this thread for others. The solution here is that the API expects to only be passed in parameters that you’re trying to set. So if you’re trying to set custom field 3 but not 7 and 8 then you should only pass in Custom3 and not pass in empty Custom7 for instance.
