Post a new request without using CURL.EXE

#1

We are working on a new .NET project and the plan is to post the data directly into Helpspot through the API. And it seems that it is returning a Bad Request. We even performed a little test where we use the public getCategories (which works!) and then when we call the private GetCategories - it fails. (always returning a Bad Request) . We have also enabled the Private API from the Admin settings page. Please advise. Is this a bug?

Hi Alex,

We’re not aware of any bugs of that nature. It can be tricky though, the method must be past in the URL, the parameters in the POST. Perhaps that’s your problem? Also, not all the methods are POST, the docs indicate what is what.

For instance. private.getCategories uses GET and requires no parameters.
