Processing of a mail with an embedded image

#1

When we send a mail with an image as an attachment, for example whatever.bmp (I know, not very efficient), the mail is parsed correctly and we have a link that lets us open the image.

However, when we send a message with an embedded image (added to the message with cut and paste with Outlook), we see this tag in the text:

<<ole0.bmp>>

but we don’t have any link to allow us see the image sent by the user. Many internal users tend to send mails with such attachments (I know, not very efficient, but it is convenient from the users perspective).

Is this a bug or are we missing something?

Nope you’re not missing anything. This is a known issue which we’re working on. I think embedded images should be correctly parsed out in the next release. That release will probably be coming out in the first half of January.
