Seeking more information on using the Email Parser as a service

Are there any coding examples (php or perl) showing how one would use the Email Parser as a service?

Am I correct that this would fit in between the actual email OR portal request and the ticket?

Hi Peter,

I think you may have talked to Rebecca about this today, but I wanted to post a follow up here for others to see. The email parser is just tags that are added to an ordinary email. You can create the email with any language you like, nearly all languages have libraries to create email.

The parser does not work on portal requests, those go directly into the database and not tags are parsed from those requests.
