Setting Up External

Hey Guys,

I am having some issues setting up our HelpSpot portal externally. We are using IIS7 and MSSQL. I believe I am overlooking something basic with the config.php file, but not sure. I have updated the cHOST to the https://sitename, however when attempting to connect to this site it will time out. Switching the config.php file to the local server, however allows it to work. . Please let me know what you guys think. I appreciate it.

It sounds like perhaps IIS isn’t configured to answer for the domain or if using HTTPS it isn’t configured for HTTPS? Most likely it something with your IIS setup before it even reaches HelpSpot with this type of thing if it’s only working on localhost.

Thanks for the reply Ian. I believe we just identified the issue. Firewall/routing issues.
