Submit a request ability to auto assign new request to staff


I have created a custom category called “Select Building” that contains a drop-down list of each school we have within our district. Since we have a staff member in each building who has an account in Helpspot, it would be very helpful for us to auto assign new tickets to a staff member depending on what building the user selects when they are creating a new request.

Is there any way to currently make this work?


Yes, how Andrew describes is probably the best way. Note that the requests will appear in the inbox first before the rule runs though. So that it isn’t too much of an issue you may want to run this automation rule on a special schedule, probably every minute so that they get moved out quickly. Here’s how to do that:
