Tasks cron doesn't work with IP Security

#1

Greetings – For some reason my cron job on tasks.php runs successfully when I do not include an IP address under System Security [admin > settings]. As soon as I add an IP address, the cron does not run.

I am on a shared server with a dedicated IP address. I am using the IP from pinging my domain.

Am I missing something here? Is there any way I can troubleshoot this?

Nope that’s a bug. If you try to run from the command line with IP security it doesn’t work. It works correctly if calling via http with wget or similar. In any event simply turn off IP security for now. This is fixed in the upcoming release which should be out later this week or early next week.

Thanks Ian. I’m lovin’ HelpSpot. I’m just trying to work out the kinks.

Excellent! Yeah there’s a lot of stuff in there and it takes a few weeks to get it customized just right for your needs.
