Tasks.php no error and no messages

I’ve set up a new installation and connected a Gmail mailbox (non secure apps allowed) but when I run the tasks.php file all I get is:

“>> Connecting to: name@mydomain.com@imap.gmail.com >> Closed connection to: name@mydomain.com@imap.gmail.com” (replaced my address with dummy).

But I get no new messages in my inbox. I have sent several emails to that address with no change.

Are there any other settings I might be missing?

Is the Mailbox setting your mailbox settings set to Inbox? It looks like you’re connecting to the mailbox but the folder being checked doesn’t have any mail in it.

Thank you! There was email in the account but I didn’t realize that the “Mailbox” setting had to be set to an existing folder, which now makes sense.
