Trouble adding Mailbox

#1

I’m unable to pull email from my support@domain.com account hosted on bluehost.com.

All of these attempts were made with the username as user@domain.com and user+domain.com. bluehost recommends using the “+”.

Bluehost lists thier setup as:
Mail Server Username: support+domain.com
Incoming Mail Server: mail.domain.com
Incoming Mail Server: (SSL) box123.bluehost.com
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.domain.com (server requires authentication) port 26
Outgoing Mail Server: (SSL) box123.bluehost.com (server requires authentication) port 465
Supported Incoming Mail Protocols: POP3, POP3S (SSL/TLS), IMAP, IMAPS (SSL/TLS)
Supported Outgoing Mail Protocols: SMTP, SMTPS (SSL/TLS)

When i put my info in these options i get the following:

Try #1 User+domain.com POP3 110 Blank i get “Error: Certificate failure for mail.dayadevelopment.com: unable to get local issuer certificate: /C=US/postalCode=84606/ST=Utah/L=Provo/streetAddress=1958 South 950 East/O=Bluehost.com/OU=Internet/OU=Hosted by BlueHost.Com, INC/OU=Comodo PremiumSSL Wildcard/CN=*.bluehost.com”

Try #2 user+domain.com POP3S 995 SSLno-validate i get “Error: Retrying PLAIN authentication after Authentication failed.”

Try #3 user+domain.com POP3S 465 SSLno-validate i get “Error: ESMTP Exim 4.69 #1 Tue, 07 Jul 2009 11:17:31 -0600”

Try #4 User+domain.com POP3 26 Blank i get “Error: ESMTP Exim 4.69 #1 Tue, 07 Jul 2009 11:17:31 -0600”

I tried many more variations but i think this might be enough for you to set me straight.

Can you help me?

Ah, great. Yes it required a secure connection. Nice job getting it fixed.
