Updating Catergory for multiple tickets


Does anyone know a way to bulk update tickets that were assigned to the default category? We have about 400 or so that needed to get put into a correct category, thanks!



You can do this with the Reassign button at the bottom of the workspace view, select the new category and then Inbox or the person you would like the requests assigned to.

If you get a filter with all of them, you can select all and then click the batch assign which lets you change the category and assignment.

Since the assignment is tied to the category they have to be done together generally, though you could do it in the database as well. It’s the HS_Request.xCategory field.
