Changed from 1 to 0 in database but when does the change kick in?
I am still not able to take an assigned ticket.
Is the HS_Settings read at regular intervals or does it require som other action?


No, the setting is instant.

That setting only impacts when you add a take it button to a filter, not the inbox. You can make a filter exactly like the inbox buy giving it the conditions of open/closed is open and assigned to is unassigned.


The take it check is for unassigned requests, to assign them to you. So I think that dummy user is the issue. Try it on a request that is not assigned to the dummy user.
